What you will do

We are seeking experienced backend Java engineers for our Gaming Platform Team to start as soon as possible, don’t worry if you can’t, we’ll always wait for the right person for our teams!

The Gaming Platform Team consists of 15 developers and QA who develops and maintains the Gaming Engine. You’ll use the latest technologies to build Cloud-based distributed, scalable and fault-tolerant microservices that can handle the high volume of gaming transactions (approximately 1.3 billion per month). You’ll be involved in creating innovative features such as the LeoJackpot, supporting our Regulatory Reporting Team with API’s and developing internal tools for our game operations teams.

Here are some real examples of how a JIRA-ticket can look in our Backlog:

Integrate a new gaming provider to the Platform (API Integration)
Build an API to expose game data to be used by our Frontend-stacks
Improve performance on listing games in the lobby
Migrate a microservice to our new Platform Framework
We operate in a competitive, fast paced environment in which we always strive to be first to deliver innovative features and entering new markets. Therefore we use CI/CD and release code on daily basis. As a developer in the team, you’ll be performing and monitoring the releases. To be as agile as we can and to meet this demand we work using the Kanban methodology.

Who are we looking for:

We're looking for a real software craftsman that has significant experience in Java and backend system development and thrives in an atmosphere where learning new technologies is key. We see that you have good communication skills since our work involves interacting with other teams in the organization. It is also important that you are confident in both written and spoken english.

We see that you have experience in:

Common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA
Relational databases such as MySQL
Building scalable and fault-tolerant systems and are familiar with microservice architectures.
Git/GitHub
Issue trackers such as JIRA
(Bonus points): Kotlin, Akka, Hazelcast, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Consul, Datadog, Docker, GraphQL, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
